- Appearance: Let’s face it, when you’re sitting down going into a gaming battle, you need your gaming chair to look cool and enhance the vibe of your room.
We compared and contrasted each of these factors for the Vitesse & JUMMICO
Type of Chair
There are a few types of gaming chairs. There are rocker chairs that typically sit closer to the ground and pleasantly rock back and forth. Then there are stationary chairs that might or might not provide a few levels of incline. And finally, there are gaming chairs with wheels with many similarities to a standard office chair. Each of the three has its own benefits. There isn’t necessarily a better or worse style as it comes down to your personal preference.
Vitesse
Similar to a standard recliner sofa, this is a reclinable gaming sofa that’s best used for console gaming. Nonetheless, few people also use it on their PC without reclining the integrated footrest. If you lean up, the chair leans up and vise versa. You can sit in this chair in one of three ways. The first and most basic way is without any incline at all. Next, it can recline by simply pushing back as the legs lift up and the backrest reclines backward. And finally the last stage, you can fully recline all the way back like a bed. Many people love the overall comfortability of both the second and last stages. Especially if you want to take a nap, the full recline gives you the option to do so.
JUMMICO
With a recline between 90-180 degrees, this sofa chair is easily adjustable to fit your needs. The JUMMICO is a reclinable gaming sofa that’s best used for console gaming. These gaming chairs closely resemble a standard recliner sofa. You can also use it for computer gaming without reclining the footrest.
Overall, both of these chairs are sofas with a convenient recline.
Comfort
The ability to remain comfortable in your gaming chair for extended periods of time only makes your gaming or movie experience that much more enjoyable. If the chair possesses different recline levels or tilt, it’s also important to note which of the levels are comfy and which aren’t.
Vitesse
This gaming sofa is one of the few that gets more comfortable after a few weeks. Once broken in, this sofa is stupendously comfy for all sizes. You’ll have no issues at all for gaming for several hours straight. The lumbar support is a bit harder than the rest of the chair. However, it’s thick very supportive. You’ll also love the headrest and three stages of recline. If you’re a larger individual and want a sofa gaming recliner, this might be your best bet. Out of 10, we give it a 9.5 for comfort.
JUMMICO
This recliner sofa is absurdly comfortable, especially, the recline position. However, few people think the lumbar support is a bit too hard and in the way. Out of 10, we give it a 9.4 for comfort.
Overall, the Vitesse is slightly more comfortable.
Build Quality
What good is your comfortable gaming chair with various features if it breaks sooner than you’d expected? The overall durability and longevity are crucial for any investment you make. Also, if the chair has any built-in electronics or speakers, it’s important they last long, as well. Another noteworthy attribute is the chair’s weight capacity and size. Some chairs might be a better fit for larger people, other chairs are better for medium to smaller people.
Vitesse
Right out of the box, this sofa is one of the easiest and quickest to assemble on the market. But aside from that, the build quality is impeccable with a 300-pound weight capacity. The frame is made out of metal and hardwood. Additionally, the surface PU leather seems of good quality, as well. Compared to its price, the sturdiness and materials outperform the price by a long margin. You’ll also enjoy the side pocket for accessories or books. Overall, we give the build quality a 9.5 out of 10.
JUMMICO
With durable and sturdy construction, you’ll be very satisfied with the materials and longevity of this sofa. The weight capacity is about standard for a gaming sofa in this price range of 265 pounds. Overall, we give the build quality a 9.4 out of 10.
Overall, while both provide great material and sturdy construction, the Vitesse has a better build quality due to the larger weight capacity.
Built-in Speakers
Some gaming chairs provide built-in speakers and others don’t. However, many people believe that gaming chairs with incorporated speakers are more valuable for gaming since it enhances a surround sound effect. But there are a few critical questions to keep in mind for chairs with built-in speakers. Are they wireless, or do you have to plug the chair in via cord? How good is the sound quality? And my personal favorite, does the chair have an integrated subwoofer that vibrates the chair according to the game?
Vitesse
Doesn’t provide integrated speakers.
JUMMICO
Doesn’t have built-in speakers.
Overall, neither have integrated speakers.
Massage Capabilities
Some gaming chairs offer massage capabilities. While most don’t have this feature, it’s certainly a splendid option to have. Some people must have a massage chair, others don’t.
Vitesse
Doesn’t have massage capabilities.
JUMMICO
This gaming sofa possesses incorporated lumbar massaging capabilities. With the attached remote, it offers 8 different vibrational massage modes. Unfortunately, the plug for the massage is only five feet long. You must configure this sofa near an outlet.
Overall, the JUMMICO is the only one of the two with a built-in massage feature.
Appearance
Gaming chairs can either dramatically enhance the overall vibe of your room, or not. Many gamers don’t care too much about how their chair looks. But if you’re like me and prefer a cool chair to sit down and battle aliens on your game, then the appearance is quite essential.
Vitesse
With a sleek modern design, this chair will surely satisfy your visual needs. It’s not too overbearing. However, the color patterns and simplistic designs are eye-pleasing enough to get compliments from your friends. The armrest isn’t too curvy either giving it a less-cheesy style.
JUMMICO
This sofa is visually pleasing for just about any gaming setup. Typically I don’t care much for curved armrests on a sofa. But for reasons I can’t explain, these curved armrests don’t look too bad at all. This is one of the few gaming chars that also pulls off a nice appearance without too many patterns or colors. You can get it in either blue or white, as well.
Overall, both are roughly equal in terms of appearance.
Our Winner
Between The Vitesse vs. JUMMICO
Keep in mind that our opinion is not the end all be all. Like mentioned earlier, everyone has different needs, requirements, and budgets for their gaming chairs. However, our winner is the Vitesse. We believe it’s an overall better bang for the buck since it has a slightly better build and comfort while $30 cheaper.
